Flattening hills in China, Hunan

I once told you how hills are flattened in Changsha and Hunan province in order to build new constructions and grow food.
The consequences of this can be diverses and relatively unknown for instance more flooding, more wind, less farmers, less green space...

Near my home they flatten the ground for a new building.

A few years ago, there was no road here but a small hill. It was flatten as you can see.
The slop is then covered with ciment so as to avoid the rain to carry the earth down.
