Business in China: using french words.

I told you once that many shops, brands, companies use french language to advertise, communicate and for their denomination.

Customers believe that french language is romantic, elegant.
And some french symbols are well know by Chinese people and these words will help sell.
I showed you Louvres, Eiffel Tower, Paris, belle...

Here are a few more:

Versailles: a high end hotel

I couldn't take any pictures inside but it really looked like "Versailles", like a small palace.

Lafayette.
Les Galeries Lafayette, the french shopping center is well known in China. Tour operator in Paris bring Chinese tourist there for shopping.
There has been talk for decades that they would open in Shanghai.

Le Midi et Provence are quite famous, since a Chinese romantic TV show took place in Provence lavender field.

Sales at Lafayette.

Montparnasse.
It is a french train station... I am not sure why this Chinese Western restaurant chose this name.
