Is it some kind of Chinese hypermarket strategy? getting rid of foreign brands?
In France supermarkets follow a similar strategy:
Progressively, they develop their own supermarket brand so as to make more profit. Progressively they stop distributing famous brands.
But here in China instead of Yakult a Japanese brand, hypermart sells some Chinese brands. And these brands are poor imitations of the authentic Yakult.
Probably in the future, Chinese hypermarket will stop distributing foreign brands...
