This video tells us two things of China:
Pedestrians are nothing
In China, there is the traffic rule of the strongest: 1. trucks 2. very expensive cars 3. cheap cars 4. cars 5.motos 6.scooters 7.bikes 8. pedestrians.
As you can see cars won't stop for pedestrians...
Chinese cities are built for and around cars.
Pedestrians and other vehicle are secondary.
Often streets don't have any pedestrian crossing or bridge or underground passage. Pedestrians must walk far away to find a place where they can cross safely. Or else they can risk their lives and cross in the traffic.
On video 2, the bridge was built just one month ago. It was built as one or several people were crushed here. I witnessed this accident last year...
